his Under
firm nails Thick
hair blown by many winds His
shoulders cast shadows Looking,
searching, He moves on, never arriving. |

notes rattled like chains in his head; Tears
jaggedly cut over dusted cheeks Dust
and sand kick up from under |

Quietly Breathing Sleep
slurred with the voice in darkness; Silent
moving lips tell stories Moonlight
cuts onto the floor; |
Dr. Roger Singer attained his doctorate in chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic, St. Louis, MO. Dr. Singer has authored more than 50 articles pertaining to chiropractic management and legal guidelines for associates. He has maintained a solo practice for the past 33 years. Dr. Singer has had over 425 poems published in magazines, the internet and in books. A few of the magazines that have published his poetry are Westward Quarterly, Black Book Press, Avocet, SP Quill, The Unrorean, Underground Voices, Language & Culture and The Tipton Poetry Journal.
